Company Overview

Radial3D is changing the paradigm of the medical sector by incorporating the latest VR/AR technology into modern day medicine, starting with medical education. Our VR/AR content creation tool allows an instructor to develop educational content and simulations enabling experiential learning experiences that are both reproducible and reusable for students.

Position Overview

This is a high valued position within a small and dynamic startup team.  We are looking for people that wear many hats and add value in areas other than the ones listed below to take us to a growth stage company.  We are looking for someone who has clear understanding of workflows in 3D medical imaging software; specifically how students and medical professionals interact with the software tools.

 

General Responsibilities

  • Provide the perspective of overall UX / UI Design and supply creative thinking to address solution and implementation challenges and risks
  • Provide the UX, UI, and visual-design perspective for Radial3D product offerings
  • Collaborate with and support peers in related teams such as Development, Product Management and Strategy, Infrastructure, and Solution Architecture
  • Collaborate closely with innovation champions, entrepreneurs, researchers, and other engineering teams to influence product strategy
  • Be a part of translating product vision into high quality, compelling products
  • Understand constraints on scope, schedule, or budget and work within them
  • Ensure design and code outputs of the UX / UI Design are of high quality and meet customer expectations
  • Establish and drive best practices in product design
  • Participate in customer discovery activities – will include travel and interacting with customers
  • Create sketches, interaction flows, mock-ups, wireframes, personas and prototypes

 

Position Description / Duties

UI/UX Designer will have specific duties

  • Day to day will be either remote or in-person depending on the needs of the company
  • Report to the entire team, mainly McKay Davis and Jesse Thompson
  • Most duties will be on a to-do list and be self-managed by you
  • Expectations are to be open, collaborative, transparent, and accepting to feedback

Desired Qualifications / Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree (or higher) in Web or Graphic Design or related field with 4+ years of user interface design experience (e.g.Web/SaaS, and Mobile Applications, etc.)
  • 3+ years of user interface design experience (e.g.Web/SaaS, and Mobile Applications, etc.)
  • 3+ years of UX design experience (IA, user / task flows, wireframes, prototypes, etc.)
  • Experience/highly proficient in visual creation tools such as Photoshop, Illustrator, and Sketch
  • Experience/strong visual design skills demonstrated via an online portfolio of original web and mobile interfaces
  • Working knowledge of modern HTML, CSS
  • Working knowledge of usability best practices and principles
  • Medical Industry experience
  • Experience working within a startup company
