Adnoviv produces a True Presence Occupancy Detection system using Doppler Radar Sensor Node. TruePODS is a better motion sensor. Instead of using passive sensors that detect heat, TruePODS sends out radio waves and is able to detect small changes in movement (such as breathing) through the Doppler effect (change in the frequency of the radio waves based on movement). TruePODS claims that it prevents false positive alarms and allows for remote control functionality.
